Writing

From a rav's Torah to a manuscript.

A sefer on suffering and emunah

About fifty shiurim woven into thirteen chapters, each from two to four of the rav's own pieces.

A vort sefer, one Chumash at a time

The first Chumash, twelve parshiyos, built from his recorded shiurim alone; he asked us to continue.

A commentary, perek by perek

About 132 shiurim, some 66 hours, became volume one of a sequential commentary.

A sefer from classes and articles

More than twenty classes and an earlier manuscript joined into one sefer of about 61,000 words.

A dvar Torah for every parsha

348 pages, published under our own imprint in hardcover and paperback.

A weekly maamar

A 25-minute Yiddish shiur each week becomes a maamar in English and lashon hakodesh, a five-page booklet for the kehilla.

Five maamarim a month

A mechanech's shmoozes written up month by month: ten delivered, after a sample of two.

A complete parashah sefer

411 parashah shiurim surveyed, for a sefer of the rav's own chidushim on all 54 sidrot.

A Shabbat sefer

About 25 hours of recordings mapped into 31 chapters; the first chapter is with the rav.

A sefer chosen by measuring the archive

595 lectures and 782 videos measured, to find which sefer the material can carry.

A kitzur halacha, edited in English

An existing translation edited for the English reader, and a weekly halacha sheet translated.

Typesetting and editions

From a manuscript to a sefer.

A publisher-accepted sefer, closed for print

347 pages, 154 footnotes and eight haskamos, through seven rounds of the publisher's proofs.

Two volumes of a series in לשון הקודש

Five separate files welded into one sefer of 401 pages and 823 footnotes; both volumes went to press.

A 405-page halacha sefer, reset

Two-column text, a three-column apparatus and a new cover, designed as the first of a series.

Tur and Shulchan Aruch with their commentaries

A 209-page student edition, every commentary in square letters around the text.

A cover rebuilt from a single picture

Only a picture of a mock-up survived; we measured it and rebuilt front, spine and back.

Twelve seforim onto print-on-demand

Twelve interiors checked page by page against the originals, and eleven titles listed for sale.

An out-of-print series brought back

A series published from 2006 to 2014, with no files left: rebuilt from the printed books alone.

A rav's home for his Torah online

A page for each weekly maamar that reads well on a phone, with a print version and an archive.

A personalised gift book

A client's own illustrated story rebuilt for print, a cover and 16 pages, every pasuk reset from the source.
